February 3-8: Carnaval “Magia y Alegoría (Magic & Allegory)”
One of the city's largest and most popular events, Ensenada’s Mardi Gras attracts a multitude of national and international visitors. Discover the magic of Mexican Mardi Gras on Av. March 11-13: El Alamo 200 Off-Road Race
More than 100 entrants from both sides of the border compete in a challenging lap race on a 50-mile circuit course at El Alamo, 50 miles southeast of Ensenada. Fri. is tech inspection from 5-11pm at Ensenada’s Manzana Ocho fairgrounds on Blvd. Costero. Sat. is race day, with motorcycles and ATVs starting at 7am, and four-wheel vehicles racing at noon. The world’s largest international yacht race begins at noon on Friday in Newport Beach, California and concludes with an awards ceremony at 2pm on Sunday at Ensenada’s Hotel Bahía. The legendary off-road race in which more than 300 four-wheelers, motorcycles and ATVs traverse 419 miles of rugged mountain, forest and desert terrain in their attempts to “beat the Baja.” Registration and tech inspection are on Fri. from 10am-6pm across from Hotel La Pinta in downtown Ensenada. On Sat., motorcycles and ATVs start at 6am, followed by trucks and cars, in front of the Riviera Cultural Center. November 17-20: 38th Tecate SCORE Baja 1000
The legendary off-road race in which nearly 360 four-wheelers, motorcycles and ATVs challenge 709 miles of rugged mountain, forest and desert terrain in their attempts to “beat the Baja.” The manufacturer’s midway and tech inspection are on Thurs. from 10am-6pm along Av. Riviera and at Manzana Ocho fairgrounds in downtown Ensenada. On Fri., motorcycles and ATVs start at 6:30am, followed by trucks and cars at 9:30am, in front of the Riviera Cultural Center.
