San Felipe 250
More than 250 cars, trucks, motorcycles and ATVs will
attempt to complete the challenging 232-mile desert course within the
official
10-hour time limit. On Friday, the SCORE Midway and tech inspection is
from
10am-6pm on San Felipe’s waterfront malecón. On Saturday, the
race start is 6am
for motorcycles and ATVs, followed by trucks and cars at approximately
9:30am.
The start line is at the landmark San Felipe arches on Highway 5 on the
outskirts of town; the finish line is just south of the arches,
directly behind
the Tecate building. Awards are Sunday at 10am in front of The
Beachcomber on

19-23: 41st Anniversary Tecate
SCORE Baja 1000
The legendary desert race in which more than 350 cars, trucks,
motorcycles and ATVs from 37 U.S. states and more than a dozen
countries
traverse rugged mountain, forest and desert terrain in their attempts
to “beat
the Baja.” This year’s race starts and finishes in front of Ensenada’s
historic
Riviera Cultural Center on Blvd. Costero (Lázaro
Cárdenas). On Wednesday,
November 19, racer registration starts at 1pm at the Hotel San
Nicolás. On
Thursday, November 20, the pre-race contingency and tech inspection
take place
on the boulevard in front of the Riviera from 10am-6pm. On Friday,
November 21,
motorcycles and ATVs start the race at 6:30am, followed by trucks and
cars at
approximately 10:30am. Starters have a 31-hour time period to
officially finish
the 634-mile race. On Sunday, November 23, award presentations are
poolside at
